Christina Piche LCSW
A graduate of New York University where she received her MSW. She has 10 years in practice working with diverse populations and believes therapy should never be cookie cutter. Christina has dedicated her professional career to learning different treatment modalities. These range from Supportive therapy to CBT for Pain and Insomnia, along with EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She is also trained in formal structured child interviewing techniques as well as the Vista treatment modality for women who have used force in their relationships. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience and training she is passionate about bringing relief and understanding to her clients.
Steven Gerlang MSW
A graduate of Stony Brook University where he earned his MSW. Steven also holds a Bachelors in Psychology from Long Island University. He has worked the past 18 years as an EMT and volunteered as a firefighter and Haz-Mat Technician for 8 years. Steven was member of the Suffolk County Critical Stress Management Team as a peer counselor for fellow emergency service personnel. His experience in EMS helps him relate and cope with his clients predicaments and he is able to recognize when a client needs additional supports. Steven is very passionate about removing the stigma of Emergency Personnel seeking help. With his vast experience, he is able to better relate to his clients and understands their issues. Steven is able to guide fellow emergency service personnel through their traumas and help them reprocess by using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills.
